Losing power at 5 psi.!

this is my first dsm, and its giving me some problems.. when i try to accelerate, it'll get up to about 5 psi and lose power.. if i am easy on the throttle until it gets into the higher rpms, i can mash it and it will rev out pretty good, but still not perfect.. i have found that if i unplug my maf, it will run extremely smooth and it boosts good, but it wont idle after it warms up.. with the maf plugged in, it idles fine..
my bov isnt recirculated, so i know that could be a possible problem.. and the previous owner intalled a 2g maf and plugged all the holes in the boot between the maf and turbo with screws and silicone (including the big hole for the bov recirc.)..

could a boost leak cause all this mayhem? or is it more likely something electrical? any input will be greatly appreciated..

Do your boost leak test, then ask questions.

Recirculate it and when he installed 2g maf do u have 550 injectors or anything to tune with?
If not that aint good

i have nothing to tune with and my injectors are blue tops..

check your fuel pressure under load because you may have good low load pressure and then your fuel pump may be falling off under higher demand causing your car to fall on its face.......you should see rail pressure ramp to 60psi at wot or at least close to 60psi.....if you don't see the pressure increase as you're applying throttle more aggressively then you may have a lazy fuel pump thats on the down hill slide to failure.....or a possibly stuck open fuel pressure regulator.....either one can cause this problem...
