Ok well i guess just looking for some input and feedback. I realize this being a dsm forum it will probably be partial but thought i would check anyways.
I as of now have a 96 gst. I am very happy with it. I want to get a second sports car for the summer with an open top so i can do a project with my gst.
The two main cars i am looking at are a gst spyder and eventually do an all wheel drive conversion hopefully or a second gen mr2 turbo t-top. I like those being mid engine and rear wheel drive. Anyone have any experience with them? I know they can become very powerful with the same sort of investment as an eclipse. I believe they also handle better and come stock a little faster.
Ok well any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thats the way i'm leaning. I have driven the mark 1 mr2 supercharged that my bro has and it is a blast to drive. Feels like a go cart. The turbo is definately faster and i think looks nicer as well.

I agree with Jayrolla. If you are going to get another DSM get an AWD. Go for the MR2.

Does anyone know off hand if there is a big performance market for the mr2 turbo's? I would think there is but i have not done a lot of searching yet. How is their reliability issues? I know they are older cars for the most part(atleast the us versions) than the 2g eclipse.

Their a pain in the ass to work on, but real fun
I own a 91 turbo mr2...2nd gen motor swap and a few other goodies.
Only problme is the motor suddnely died on me and I havent even touched it for a year LOL.
Willing to sell it!!!!!
