I just got the aeromotive afpr, guage, and s/s return line install kit from slowboy. I have a few ideas on where I am going to install it but I would like to see what you did.

Thanks,
Ben

LOL The AFPR goes on after the fuel rail not before. The only return/outlet is the bottom fitting, the left and right fittings are both inlets design to handle dual fuel rail systems as well.

So then it should look like this....

If the line labeled "fuel line from firewall" means the return line on the driverside, not the feed line from the fuel filter, then yes you got it right.

While I was putting my springs on I just drilled a couple screw holes through the tower and screwed it up! The curve in the line allows for any engine movement.

Thanks for the FPR Oldman!

Side note: I used copper washers to seal the fittings after my rubber o-rings gave out on me. Oh, and our tire irons fit the blue plug perfectly. ;)

Nice, glad it worked out for you. You should have asked me for more o-rings, how is the copper crush washer working out on aluminum?

Fine, as far as I can tell. Are there issues with copper and aluminum contacting?

I tried replacing the o-rings and they just failed again (maybe over-torquing?) That's why I went with the copper. If it is a problem I can go buy some neoprene rings and give that a shot.

Copper should be softer than aluminum so you should be fine. I was told last year that one should use aluminum crush washers on aluminum when I was piecing together my water lines, maybe someone who knows for sure can enlighten us all.

A material engineer once pointed me to the following table which shows the Gavanic properties of alloys. The further the two different alloys are on the scale, the faster the "less noble" one (in this case aluminum) will corrode.

Please don't chance a fuel leak over a $.10 washer :dsm:

Starting to be a diversive topic, but the o-rings were giving up very quickly and leaking (immediate as opposed to down the line sometime with copper). So should I use plastic/neoprene rings instead of the copper since rubber o-rings were blowing so fast? :)

Edit: Or should I try and find aluminum crush rings and where the heck would I find those?!

Installed this & my injectors today...regulator took about 2 hours including running to Napa for fuel line. With the Marshall gauge.

Seems like Narco & I are the only ones here with a black top Aeromotive...& what's with the people who didn't turn the top so the vacuum fitting's facing the right way?

As for not rotating the top, the reg that most are using doesn't have a square top so you can't make it face any direction you want like yours (looks like they can only rotate it 180 deg). In the pic it looks like you forgot to install the clamp on the return line?

Agreed! I was noticing the same thing. :)

Its a good idea to zip tie your vacuum lines as well :thumb:

Here are a couple of my Import Evolution 2g install kit.

Really..I think I read in the instructions from ImportEvolution to not put a clamp on any of the barbed fittings. Unless you know otherwise?

I will put a zip tie on the vacuum line though, thanks man!

Okay this is a question for you guys who mounted your AFPR next to your brake fluid on the firewall.

Did you guys remove the fuel pressure solenoid or just put your afpr over it????

I just unmounted it from the firewall & shoved it somewhere down below the brake fluid reservoir, into the abyss of wires.

Man, mine looks like the crappiest install ever compared to y'alls! I'm not going to lie...it is :p I'm going to have to move some things around to get it to sit like the ones above.
