Looking for pics of your AFPR Install

I just got the aeromotive afpr, guage, and s/s return line install kit from slowboy. I have a few ideas on where I am going to install it but I would like to see what you did.

I know the feeling oldman. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only old fart on here. Anyways... here is a pic of my Fullthrottle afpr with a liquid filled gauge.

Here's mine. I had the B&M gauge on the fuel filter, and wanted to be able to read it more easily at night, and while adjusting the AFPR, but it wouldn't clear the intake manifold with the AFPR mounted to the firewall. I just set up another line and mounted it on the firewall where the FPS used to be.

My best friend and I both installed our FPRs today...
He got an AEROMOTIVE and I got an SX PERFORMANCE.

they were basically the same, I just didn't like the fact that AEROMOTIVE only comes in red. We more or less installed them as a bolt on setup, not needing to use any extra hose. we simply fitted the FPRs with some hydraulic fittings that we picked up at our local tractor supply center and slapped them on. we also got the guages from the tractor center.

Couple of questions:

1. Should I be running mine thru the stock FPR solenoid? I've seen it go both ways. I assume I can tap right off the manifold, tho.

2. If I do run it from the manifold, what do I do with the stock solenoids? If I take them off, will it throw a CEL?

Other than that, one line is leaking a tiny bit. I assume that it's because it didn't go together quite right. The end of the hose should be up against the inside of the red part, right?? Or can there be a tiny bit of a gap? I didn't think that it sealed there...

1. The FPS assists in hot starts, there is no good reason to bypass it.

2. Yes it will throw a CEL if left unplugged, just like a 2g BCS.

Like Daren I also used the earls pro 350 line to prevent the SS lines from cutting stuff up. I used a 45* fitting to allow the gauge to clear the shock tower.

If you have an aftermarket pump, you really dont' need this "feature" anymore as the line pressure will build up way quicker offsetting the need for it. I removed mine and car starts immediately everytime. Also one less possible boost leak and a cleaner firewall

I removed both the FPS and Purge Solunoid and no CELs for either going on two years now

I see alot of Aeromotive FPRs pictured without thread sealant on the top adjustment screw and the vaccume nipple. Mine leaked from both those spots pretty good.

I used a dab of liquid thread sealant and the leaks were gone.

BTW, now that I run a gauge off the NPT port on the AFPR (rather than the B&M Fuel filter mount) I had to remove my strut bar due to interference
May need to rethink my mounting choice

DSM90AWD, I had the same problem and a little RTV fixed it right up and I havent had any leaks there for over a year.

Cool, so I'm doing it right then.

Did a pull and my O2 according to the SAFC is over 1.0v - eek!! Base pressure is at ~29psi (w/vacuum line from manifold ~16" hg), so I guess that I'm doing pretty good. Now to put in the 550s

No. The black fitting on the very bottom is for the return.

The fitting on the left will eventually supply my mechanical fuel pressure gauge in the cockpit (as soon as I quit being lazy and run the line).

There's thread sealent on mine, I just did mine neatly and is from under the locking bolt down
(and yes there was a good sized leak there before the sealent)
