Im looking for glow guages for the guage cluster that light up purple for my 95 gst I caint find them but maybe you guys will know.... Thanx:dsm:

Look on ebay, they have gauges called GlowShift gauges.. you can set them to like seven different colors. I couldn't find anyone who tried them on the forums, but you could give them a try..

Damn.. when I was buying gauges.. everyone was saying I shouldn't buy those.. and I didn't know anybody who bought them.. Sucks, those look pretty sweet

ya i seen those thanx but im looking for the guage cluster so that can also glow purple ebay dont seem to have it only green and blue...:dsm:

Buy the white guage you want, then go to radio shack and buy the tinted bulb covers for them. Its a little rubber cap. This way they will ligth whatever shade you want.
(alot of guages come with a red and a blue cap, use both)

are you saying use red and blue to make purple or you can buy purple caps and i went to radio shake today and they didnt have them what are thay called?????? maybe somewhere else i can find them.... Thanx alot guys for helping

I saw what the rubber caps look like that your talking about ... If I were to put blue & red ones to make it purple, would the light still come thru ?? Also do I need to put the caps on EVERY bulb ??

I have used both caps at once before and it worked fine for me.
Put both caps on the light and just run 1 line from the light to each batt post and check brightness.
Cant find the assorted packs like they used to carry at radioshack eather.

Yes caps on all the lights.

Thanks .... The nexus ones are only the gauges ... im looking for the speedometer part ... i want to make that purple (the light in that part) ... Also does anyone know the bulb size(s) for those bulbs for a 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST ???:dsm:

well if you want a really good purple color, get the glowshift white series. i bought 2 gauges and a pod for somewhere around $85. i keep mine on red because i like the red and my car is red, but the purple is really good. along with all the other colors.

^^^ Jesus people! HE ISN'T LOOKING FOR ACTUAL GAUGES!! HE'S LOOKING FOR OVERLAYS FOR HIS OEM CLUSTER (SPEEDO, TACH, GAS, ETC.)

What I did before was go to radio shack and bought actual LED lights and used them to replace the factory clear bulbs that are used to light up the cluster. All you have to do is link all of the power and ground wires from the LED's together and hook them up to a power source that comes on with your headlights (or parking lights) and then secure the LED in the bulb inlet with electrical tape.

Of course this requires the use of your stock gauges without an overlay. When I did this, I was only trying to change the color of the needle and the back light for the odometer as I had already installed EL overlays. So... unless you can find white replacement gauges, then you'll have to stick with your black ones. Also, I'm not sure if Radio Shack carries purple LED's but they shouldn't be too hard to find.
