Looking for Fuel Lab 818 filter kit install pictures/advice

I am in the process of installing my fuel lab 818 fuel kit - EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - Fuel Lab "818" Complete Fuel Feed Upgrade Kit: Mitsubishi Eclipse 90-99

It is being installed in the stock fuel filter location. I'm looking for ideas/pictures on how to secure it to the car. The bracket that came with it is useless and the since filter sits higher than the stock one (because of the fittings that are used to attach it to the fuel line) I can not use the stock bracket.

I just used the stock bracket to install mine. If you wrap the filter a few times with tape it will fit snug into the stock bracket. Then I just installed the bracket sideways, only using one of the boltholes.

What do you mean by sideways? My filter sits is just above the stock fuel filter location and has the same orientation. If I put the bracket sideways the filter will be to the side of it.

I cut a small section out of a bicycle tube and slid it over the filter, then put it in the stock bracket.

I did not install mine in stock location due to me adding a extra fuel pump inline but I did not have any problem using the bracket that came with the filter. I just used some self tapping screws to attach it to the firewall.

I could take pics later tonight when I get off work if you need.

I have some hydraulic lines behind the filter so I can not install it right on the firewall, it has to stick out a little bit.

Savage Talon, I'm not a 100% sure but I believe my 2G bracket is a little different in the way it attaches to the firewall than your 1G bracket. Thanks for the picture though.

Here is mine on my 2g. I relocated my fuse box, so I could not use the stock mounting location.

That set up looks great. I might "borrow" your idea and do something similar.I love how accessible the filter is.

Congrats on one of the cleanest engine bays I have ever seen.

I mounted mine in the stock location all you have to do is to drill the holes a bit bigger on the bracket that comes whith the fuel filter.

Thank you all for the pictures/suggestions. I ended up modifying the bracket at the end. I cut off one hole of the piece that bolts to the firewall and bolted the bottom hole of that bracket to the upper of the 2 bolt holes (only one bolt used). I also cut the bottom part of the bracket that goes around the filter.
