Looking for a Radiator fan upgrade

Going to be upgrading the fan on my GSX, the driver side one stopped working theres power and voltage to the connector but the fan motor stopped, any suggestion on a good fan upgrade? also i am concerned about connector hook-up and what i need for it. i was thinking a slimline fan (http://www.slowboyracing.com/shop.php?sid=&cat=174) and just cutting the old connector off and soldering it onto the new fans wires, question is.. should i get 2x 12" or 1x14" also what does the stock radiator fan flow up to in CFM? Thanks

Several cars I have had cooling issues with ( still with one today , alough that will soon be fixed )

The stock oem fans have a much better shroud than the slimlines , and the blades are much longer and has a bigger motor , Which would lead me to believe they have a higher CFM than most slimline fans . As long as your turbo etc isnt getting in the way I would suggest buying another oem one off of ebay ( make sure you get the correct side replacement ) The only time i had cooling issues besides water pump failure / head gasket or bad radiator . Was because I had replaced the stock OEM fan's .. From my experinces , any fan "upgrade" is actually a down grade .

I disagree. Any slimline fan will do. Go on eBay and pick one up for 50 bucks (summitracing.com if you need a legit source). Then you can wire the stuff in yourself. On the drivers side just join the 2 hot wires together and 2 ground wires together and solder them to your hot and ground on the fan. Basically the same thing on passenger side too.
