I have the equiptment and have a couple /. My logger cable has a black wirewith 2 female plugs and a ed wire with 1 plug. I know the data logging port but not where to attach these 3 clips. Then do turn the palm on before a 3rd gear run and leave it alone till I finish and drive home or back off after 3rd gear and stop the palm? Anythingelse? I am much older than computers and such as this palm and need novice help. Lease excusemy ignorance and need for basic instruction. Thanks, Mark

One end of the cable goes to the diagnostic port, the other goes to the logger or the adapter cable to the logger. The red wire simply needs to be plugged into a spare fuse slot in your fusebox near the diagnostic port under the dash. Turn your car on, turn the logger on, then test the spare slots for one that will provide adaquate power.

You can have your logger on as often as you want. If you want to do a tuning pull, you will want to stretch out to the top of third (forth is okay too). I prefer to have mine on quite a bit just to monitor things.

Well for the 3 female plugs, the red one goes on the top left prong of your diagnostic port. The other 2 black ones will go on the bottom right prong, and the 3rd up on the right.

98, both of your replies didn't offer any help at all. In the future why don't you help instead of making silly comments? As Mark is a friend of mine and needs some help with his car. Hook him up, would ya?

Guys I got the connection taken care of. Now I can't bring up,the MMCd program on the palm. i did a reset on the back of the palm and can get the DSM logo to appear but when I tap it nothing happens.
I believe I will have to buy new palm and a new program. mark

A DSM Logo? You arent using MMCD my friend. There isnt on DSM logo, just a Mitsu sign and that is only on the palm display. I think there is a new version though and that could possibly be what you are using. But if it is what you are using then it verywell might have a DSM sign but i am not aware b/c i have the older version(if there is 2 versions).

What I mean is it has the diamond star logo and MMCd beneath it. However I can tap it all i wnt and it will not go o the pages with the timing,02, rpm, etc. Mark

I thought it was answered right away? What's left but to add silly comments?

I would have added to it but couldn't decipher the code.

I can't help you with particulars on your link system, I run a pocketlogger, but as a longshot could it be your digitizer for the plam is not calibrated. Do all the other programs work correctly when you tap on the icons for them?

Just a thought...... :|
