Ok I am seriously about to start stomping on my logger if you guys cant help me. I have a palm m125, OS 4.0, MMCD v1.8g, hotsync serial cable and ebay logger cable that plugs right into the diagnostic port. I hook everything up right, changed the car to dsm, get to the logging screen, uncheck pause and all it does is sit there. In the bottom left hand corner the settings that I wanted to log are scrolling through but it is collecting no values. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON    I am seriously losing my patience since I have been trying to figure this problem out for about a week now with no success. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

ok so I just went out and tried to run a test and it said there was a serial comm error? So does this mean that I wasted my money on the logging cable or the hotsync cable? I did get both of them off of ebay. Here are a couple of pics of my setup:

I've had to cut the DB9 end off at least one of those cables becasue the auto-on circuit wasn't working. Try grounding pin pin 10 on the DLC end (the connector that plugs into the car) to bypass the auto on and see if that makes the cable work.
