data logger stopped working

well i have a pretty big problem with logging. my car has killed 2 palms in the last month or so only after the 1st use (well after half a use). i connect it to the car and it reads fine for a little while and than all of a sudden it just dies the batteries are new and still they wont turn back on so i dont know whats happening can someone please enlighten me as to whats happening.

List what model palm, logger program and detailed info on the cables your using to connect the car to the palm and someone might be able to give you more insight. That sounds like an odd problem though.
