logger cable?

I just got my datalogger stuff and the cable that goes from the diagnostic port to my palm is what my question is about. theres 3 wires on the cable and I need to know which pins to hook them to? I have installation instructions on cd but the document doesnt work. any help would be kool...thanks!

If it's the $20 version you buy on eBAY.. looking at the plug, the single wire goes to pin#1 and the two that are spliced together go to pin 10 and 12 (doesn't matter which goes to which as it's meant to short the two pins).
