My setup. Gonna rock that until I find a leather seat back for the pass side.

I have a single JL 10W1V2-4 in a JL wedge box with a JL slash 250.1 amp. Yes, I like sound quality. Weighs in around 30lbs and has all the kick you could ask for. As for really light weight you could look into a Bazooka. I had a little 8" one and it surprised me with how hard it could hit sometimes. They go bigger than 8" of course.

Keep the hump there and use a nice 8" sub if youre looking to keep weight down.
Sundown audio has a few 8" subs that are very popular on the car audio forums.

While I agree a quality 8 can put out good bass, the hump was just a suggestion and not necessary even with my 10. Removing it just makes the trunk functional.

I'd like to remove the hump, but the gas tank curves up too, so no point really.

I'm trying to work out a deal on a basslink 2, so thats 250W compared to the 200W i had before so hopefully its enough for me, plus this is the first time having components up front so maybe I would need more bass.
