I would say stay away from Sea Doo! If your looking for something new, the new Turbocharged Honda 4tec seems to be getting rave reviews. Although Kawasaki just released the 2004 Ultra 150, and that would be my personal choice. I have a 2001 Kawasaki ZXI 1100 and the F***ER fly's! If it's used your looking for ... go with Kawasaki, those thing's are built like tanks and can take a beating! Whatever you do make sure you get a water test before purchasing, and if possible take it to a certified shop to have a once over done!
IMO, you say your a big guy ... I would stay away from anything less than a 900 you just won't have the power you need. The power you need to have fun that is!

Peace.

A good system costs $3g's??? What are you smoking? My entire system cost under $1,000...I did an entire competition SQ system for a buddy of mine and it was less than $2k. Only moron's go out and buy the most expensive of everything thinking that automatically it makes their system sound "good". It's about knowing the equipment, knowing what works, the best deals, and most importantly a good install.

Again, it all comes down to what you desire in a system. For me it's quality, dependability, and an accurate reproduction of sound...my personal system meets these requirements of me, so I didn't mind spending what I did on it. For you performance guys, it's like this: using a name brand mandrel bent stainless exhaust system instead of duct taping some toilet paper rolls together. Get the picture?

not really

I've been reading up on car audio for maybe 3-4 years now. The only reason I bought my NON-TURBO:shhh: eclipse is to put a bangin' system in it. Not bashing you or anything but you could have atleast saved a $100 more on top of your $150 and got a 20x better system. Best Buy and Circuit City have the worst car audio equipment. It pales in comparison with companies such as www.reaudio.com, www.edesignaudio.com, www.ddaudio.com, etc. These companies offer a reliable, quality-made product with great customer service, not to mention since there's no middle man, a much cheaper price is established. Get this "$3000-$5000 for a good system" thought out of your heads. It is possible to build an amazing system for under $800.
