Lightweight Rotors from other Cars Maybe?

So I've been looking to reduce some unsprung weight, and rotors came to mind (relatively cheap and easy) Well I'm going to the junkyard today and I was thinking/wondering if rotors from other cars would work on ours as well, maybe something like elantra rotors or 1.8 rotors (if they're even lighter??)


So my question is, what are our options for lighter rotors? I know there's a few aftermarket kits but they're not cheap. Anyone using rotors from other cars?

I doubt you are going to find a much lighter rotor on an OEM car that is worth your time. The big weight reduction from aftermarket units usually comes from the aluminum hats. Which of course is one reason why they cost so much.
