lightweight rims and fuel efficient tires for a dsm 1g

i want to put rims an tires for my lacer 91 i what a 17 wheels i like the stile of the ENKEI M52 17x7.5 but they are heavy. little more than 20 lbs i haven't seen something that's looks alike or something close i like rotas circuit 10 but i dont know the weight .
the budget is 650 for the wheels i can paid litle more for a nice light ones the tires that I am looking are MICHELIN ENERGY SAVER A/S i don't know if there are beter fuel efficient tires or with more grip

I don't know if this necessarily has to be a 1g only thread. But I have had nothing but a great experience with the falken 612 series tires as far as all around performance. I've driven in snow storms, rain, summer, hard pulls... and my last tank (I've been driving like a grandma to break in my clutch) yielded me 337 miles from full to just before the light even came on before I filled it again.

I run some rsl wheels that are a basic 6 spoke, they weigh in at 18#' s and a few ounces before tires and they are 18X7.5. I replaced a set of chrome wheels with these ones, one of the chrome wheels with no tire was 37#'s... noticed a gigantic overall difference.


Edit: I just looked at this michelin tire you speak of... this isn't prius talk... . Those are stated in the description they are specifically made for performance on the prius, leaf, etc.. I don't think they will have any of the ratings you are looking for on a dsm platform, aside from just having a longer life. I'd skip those altogether. You can get some decent tires that are a devoted all season, not z rated tire that will give you plenty of life and plenty of good gas mileage. If you want the best stick with the factory tire size (215/50/17) I believe?

When you get into 225-235-245 seies tires is when you'll start dropping economy. But even then, a 225 isn't going to drop much in overall mileage per tank over the 215. What are your goals exactly? Getting 500mpt? Having tires for 70k?
