new tires and rims

I was wondering what is the biggest size rim i can fit on a 1g. I have a 92' Plymouth Laser. I know right now it has 14" rims and they seem so small. I still want a god ride though since the car is mostly commuting.

I have a 92 talon and I have 16's... rides pretty well, but I hear it usually gets worse any higher than that.

How does the car handle with 16's? What size of tire do you have wrapping them?
