I ordered some revised lifters yesterday and now am looking for the tool that helps change them. I've seen the info in the forums before but now I can't find it. I've tried google also with no luck. Can someone tell me where I can find one please.
Thanks

I pulled the lifters out of my old head with a pair of pliers with no problem at all. The new ones just slid right into place.

Holy crap that is expensive. I could make that in the shop for less than $10... Actually anyone probably could.

I found an image of the tool and was able to read the part number that is pressed into the sheet steel. Then I Googled that part number and found plenty of places to buy it. I can't remember where that picture was, though. Anyway, if anyone finds the part number, post it here, so I can add it to my lifter tech article.

When I was searching on that part number, I found sites selling it as cheaply as $30 and as high as $70, and I only clicked on a few of the search results links. Might be able to find one used for $10, and you certainly could make your own given the DIY article (assuming you have a torch/plasma, grinder, and sheet steel).

Good luck!

The snaopn part number for mine is YA9970. I got it off ebay a while ago for like $20 shipped.
