I've contemplating on getting some
HID's but have no idea what's a good website/place to get em.
Anybody have any experience with any vendors/sites?
I was looking at getting 6k diamond white.

One of our vendors, sharphid if I remember correctly, should be able to help you out

^^
He is LOL, yeah but regular halogens don't really light up the view :(

^^I'm assuming you're talking to the op?

Yeah sorry about that should of made it clear

Well erick I know how you feel. When I go to work at 4 in the morning I can't see anything and I'm sure with HIDs I'll be able to see better. I think there might be few running the eBay kits I think Alex had some on the 2ga spyder and he said they worked. I've used the onex brand on the Gli before the Oem HIDs and they worked good too and I think that's what Oved has as well now.

bro dont waste your money on some crazy ass brands go to ebay get urself some 8000k hids i got mine there for 40 bucks and they r bad asss :)

Keep in mind you get what you pay for. I've seen a couple of my buddies go through 2-3 sets of eBay HIDs in a year.

DDMTuning.com, located in San Diego and Huntington Beach, I have been to their shop a few times and they are nice people. Cheap HID's and lifetime warranty. I have a set in my car and 6 of my family members cars not including the other 15 sets i bought for friends with none having problems.

I "liked" there Facebook page and a lot of other customers say that they boughten items of them and they haven't heard or ddmtuning still hasn't shipped them out. There raptor kit is on sale. I think. Can't remember off the top of my head.

I've used ddmtuning and have never had a problem and "bro" don't get 8k, higher the k the less lumens on th road and here in michigan if they look blue on the road they are illegal and you can get a ticket for impersinating a cop. Also with hids in a halogen housing you do not get the greatest output...so when you can get the funds definately retrofit them. But then again this is all my opinion and it is your car LOL

Yes, I would get the 5k-6k personally. I use 6k, great light output. Also, I would use DDMTuning/SharpHID, both I believe offer lifetime warranty on bulbs and ballast.

Look into Xentec , they are cheap. Ive used them in every vehicle ive owned. I cant see to drive at night due to glare , they help out alot. Just remember to reverse the polarity as it looks like you will be putting them into a 2g. Oh and they are cheap. Never had an issue with them.

The retrofit method is way out of my doings.
8k is retarted stupid, I feel like shooting the asshole blinding me with any "colored" lights.
I'll check some of these sites, what's the main difference between the wattage and "slim" or regular ballasts?

I've seen HID kits on other 2g's and the light output isn't blinding, without the retrofit method.
It's just the colored lights that I hate, especially when they think they're in the movie Blade and have all effin HID's all...including their fogs.

hids are the best lighting upgrade ever!! with these things in mind
1. if you want to go hid and have the money projector retrofit is the way to go!!!
2. if you put them in a reflective housing make sure you AIM them after your install!!
3. if you just want to plug them in and go but some Casper shields so you have that projector cut off and you dont blind people.

35w and 55w its just the wattage being produced by the ballast, i would stick with 35w since most complaints about "melted" housings are cause by 55w or generic 100w kits.

regular or slim ballast are just that, the size of the ballast that ignite the hid bulbs.
a regular ballast has a ignitor built in so its a little bigger but shorter harness and a slim ballast has an external ignitor inline with the harness so the harness is longer.

the key with hids is you Definitely get what you pay for!

if an hid kit is under 60 bucks its too cheap beacuse they still need to make a profit and it means it got wholesaled and if it did then that means it got massed produced and most of the time with inferior products to keep cost down!

dont get me wrong i bought an ebay kit once light output was good and it didnt flicker but a week later a ballast blew and there lifetime warranty claim when to shit.

i also recommend an hid harness if you want to get the best possible output of your lights, that way you know your lights are always at 12v+ and avoid the flicker

people are confused about the color chart most people think that anything over 12k is the best and you can see all the way to mexico... thats wrong.

3k is the yellow is the one that has the farthest output then its 5k oem white one of the sharper colors similir to a newer prius after that its a 6k which is pretty much what everyone has cuase of the color, everyone wants that hint of blue then 8k blue then 10k bright blue then 12k and so on. they even have red, green, pink and uv now. its the buyer choice on the color but if you want them to be functional stick with 5-6k.

thats just my .02 cents on hids.

but if your looking for hids i have some kits i never used at my house, all brand new ill hook you up just shoot me a pm if your interested.

actually i just looked and i have a couple kits here if anyone else is interested.

Aslong you are using real Oem headlights , the hid kit is gonna be wack. These replica headlights suck and throw the light all over when i had them i would light up trees and anything next to me.
