So, basicly the 1g stock internals can handle 450awhp on a good tune? if so, heres what im thinking.. you tell me if im thinking correctly or if im reading things wrong.

The most cost effective way to make decent HP on a DD is as follows.

Stock rebuild with some upgrades such as better bearings, better timing belt, BS elim ect.

Mild head porting
Mild turbo porting (E3B16G)
Mild manifold porting
FMIC
Meth inj.
DSMLink
750 cc injectors.
255walbro
2g MAF

Is this a good route?

I'd recommend a act2600 pressure plate with a sbr kevlar disc with those mods.

750s? MAY more then you'll ever need on a evo3 16g i maxed that turbo out with the 550s that turbo is good for MAX 25psi i would also say get a wideband you'll never get a good tune without one and i would say upgrade the clutch like satated above make sure you use a mitsu 4 layer headgasket and arp head studs

Is an 11.9999999999 1/4 achievable with this setup reliably?

In my opinion if you are going to buy link, buy injectors once and drop the dough for 1600's. You will max out the 750s pretty quick. Just my .02.....

Yes whatever you do, DO NOT cheap out on the head gasket. I learned the hard way....

the clutch etc.. is TBD as of right now... what i wanna know is. Will what i posted reliably able to run 11's? some of the stuff i already have... which is why i went with what i did. Im asking a serious question Mr. Boxx.

I dont know yet. I'll let you know on july 12 satarday morning. Thats the day after I'm taking my car to the track the first time with my new engine an setup. So I'll let you know then.

The 255 will need an AFPR. Many people seem to forget/overlook this.

You probably won't need meth.
Get an AFPR with the pump.
Get a WB.

Don't go crazy on the porting. My turbo didn't like the hogged out 2g exh mani I put on there. It made my 14b lag like an SOB...18 psi at 3400 rpms. I had to remove it and put on a VERY mildly ported one. You want lots of velocity coming down those runners on a street turbo.

Get at least 850s because you WILL want more power one day when your car is maxxed, you are used to its power and the speed addiction kicks in. :D I wouldn't recommend 1600s unless you are running E-85 and 30+ psi.

You might want a bigger turbo than the Evo 16g for 11.99 sec. IMO, he new 18g6SL2 might be a better choice (I like it so far, but no numbers yet.) But, yes the Evo 16g will get you there...eventually with lots of practice & tuning.

the 750's came with the car which is the only reason i said that.

You're right, i did over look the AFPR, but i wont now, thank you.

Basiclly what im getting at is i wanna get this thing back together and on the road. A new bottom end that i was is going to run me upwords of a grand.. alot of the stuff i mentioned i already have - the tuning software.

When i purchased the car it was down in #1 cylinder and burning oil like a madman.
I.E. the reason for the rebuild.

Would you reccomend anything else?

At this point, im sacraficing forged internals for tunability, once i get more money saved up, ill already have the tune for the engine and can go forged and run a lil more boost, a lil more timing.. etc etc

Am i following the right path here?

what i want to do honestly is not be the baddest mofo around..

I just want to have a hella fast daily that is reliable. I dont wanna be on youtube beating z06's (it would be nice) but more of a camaro ws6 mustang eating machine. I overall wanna have a fun car. And i love working on cars so im sure ill love tuning. I.E. the thought of DSMlink vs dsmchip (which i have) and a big turbo.

1600's are way to big even running with link especially on a 16g. They are going to be a killer just to dial them in right even then the littlest bit they are off can make a big difference. I would recommend getting 1050's or maybe a tad bigger. The only way you need anything that big is if your running Ethanol.
