i recently purchased and recieved this item:

FidanzaFlywheel

it was delivered wrapped in 2 bubble wrap bags (no box?), and a large fidanza decal. i searched the website for a part number, but the only numbers on the flywheel are: D083258 (underneath the sfi standards decal, and MIT4-6447 on the reverse side. there is also a small abrasion (could easily be filed down) on top of one of the steel knuckles comming out of the clutch side. can anyone verify these numbers?

the ebay seller seems legit; is there anything else i should check for?

Well, my flywheel is installed in my car but my box shows the part# as a 161691 mit4. I do remember however that on the engine side of my flywheel, it had the mit4-xxxx. I cant remeber the exact #'s but if it has the mit4-xxxx , the sfi sticker on the front, and is silver, I would assume that it is the fidanza. In past experiences, most all of the aftermarket awd flywheels carry the mit-4 designation, just different colors from different manufacturers.

Call Fidanza and ask them if they'll verify your $100-off flywheel is theirs. They'd probably be very interested to hear of someone selling that isn't theirs with their name on it, if that's the case.

Well, Rich never reported back on this one.

I bought one from the same vendor and didn't see this post until afterward. It sure enough seems to be the real deal at a great price. It's a beautifully machined and assembled piece except for a place on the back where someone got carless removing the drill and zinged across the surface. I think someone got a deal on blemished fidanzas.

I have never considered that, but I've always had problems with springs popping out of my act disk with the 2nd fidanza flywheel I had on my car which I got off of ebay. My first one I never had one problem with. I'll take a look at both of the part numbers on them tomorrow as they are both in my garage and I'm now using an act flywheel. Damn ebay!

I bought mine on ebay too, and it looked good, and came in a Fidanza box and had instructions and everything with it. Looks as legit as can be. Can't really comment on it though, since I can't get my clutch to disengage...
