Just wanted to hear people's opinion on the Fidanza Flywheel and what they think about it.
Was is Good, Bad. How it ran for you.

They are awesome!!! Torque the flywheel bolts at 100ft/lbs and use a very good amount of Loctite RED!....

Some people say it makes lauching harder. I cannot complain.

They are completely rebuildable. (ring gear, friction surface, hardware) and they are LIGHT! Better gas mileage, faster Rev's which leads to faster spool, and better times at the track from your 60' all the way to the end of the 1/4mi

AND THERE CHEAP!!!!

my 2 cents

I NEVER had any problems launching ANY of my dsm's with a fidenza. It's NOT too lite of a flywheel, As I'm sure 1000809 people will join this thread and say otherwise. I never had anything bad to say about the fidenza flywheel. I just sold one to another board member.

I've had a Fidenza flywheel now for almost 5 years. Never had a problem, awesome product. Stood up to plenty of auto-x and trackday abuse with flying colors.

I also liked my Fidanza very well. Wasn't too light to launch, in fact, I pulled a few 1.7 60's in a FWD with it, so anyone that tells me its too light to get a decent 60' can go bark up another tree. Only problem I had with mine is I warped the hell out of the friction surface due to major clutch slipage. 30psi on race gas with a 2.3L stoker and a ACT 2100 didn't hold up well for too long. But I'm not complaing b/c the friction disk is fully replaceable, and $40 later, I had another brand new flywheel.

No to highjack, but maybe :p The FP Flywheel bolt kit? Crap or is it needed? I have a fidanza going in with a nice cltuch set up and dont want problems to arise later on. Thanks.

I love my fidanza and I think it is easier to drive with than the stocker that used to be in the car. The only way I would get rid of my fidanza is if I went with a twin disc clutch(which will probably happen when the new engine goes in)

And EclipseTrbo420A, you already know my opinion on the install kit.

I just switched from a SBR 3500 and ACT flywheel to a ACT 2900 and Fidanza flywheel. Ill post back on here in a couple of days once i get the feel for it. But i know that my next setup is gonna be some sort of twin disk :rocks:

Well i havent launched on it yet but i am very impressed with both the 2900 and fidanza flywheel. It seems like it revs much faster a whole lot more smooth. Also "speed" shifting and boost recovery have improved very well, I am extremely happy with my switch.
Im going to the track next thursday night since i FINALLY got a chance to tune my new setup on some real boost!!

I like having the security of the longer flywheel bolts, and the plate that they made so the bolt heads don't score the flywheel is nice...but I can't say anything good about the pressure plate studs. Just use the stock pressure plate bolts instead of having to tap threads for the studs.

Iv got ~40k miles(3years) on my Fidanza Flywheel and CMDF clutch and really I can not say anything bad about the setup. I have run low 12's on the clutch with over 50 quick slip 4.5k NLTS launches and no bolts have pulled out and the FW is still true. The CMDF is starting to slip a bit but the again it was only rated for about 300 hp and I am now pushing about 330whp.

I am just using a set of stock bolts, for crank and pp, they were new when clutch went in, used lots of red threadlock.
