What spacer plate are you talking about? The motors are the same and bolts in just the same. Regardless if it's a GS-X or GS-T. But the kit that Forced Performance sells would be nice because they supply longer bolts. The center section on these flywheels are a lil wider so there's not as much thread going into the crank as there would be with the stock flywheel. Just a lil insurance and piece of mind. The a/t spacer plate, I have no clue what you're talking about.

yea i was sure about getting the bolts, but this plate is kinda the biggest part to me,i did a search and everyone is mentioning this plate i think i saw it has something to do with the bolts not digging into the fidanza,i think that is what everyone was saying.thanks for that though i just noticed everyone talking about the is gsx or tsi and i know the fidanzas are different so i diddnt know if they flywheel was thicker or something like that,i knew the engines were the same.

can anyone clear up this thing with the spacer plate and is really needed?thanks guys

Personally, you shouldn't need it. I have a Fidanza and I haven't had any issues of the bolts digging into it. The only difference in the Fidanza flywheel is if it's for a 6 bolt or 7 bolt. Other than that you're fine. Also, not everyone gets the longer bolts. I haven't used them myself but I DID use some loctite. But with the setup I'm about to use, the bolts are definately going in. Taking no chances.

ok thanks guys i was just making sure i would rather be safe then sorry, and knowing my luck ill need them anyway,LOL.thanks guys

i ordered my kit tonight and i see the plate you're talking about. it's not a must but thinking the main benefit is if your clutch springs pop, it won't mess up the flywheel surface. but if you buy the kit, no worries cause the plate comes with it.
