LED lights

my friend gave me led lights, and when i went to put in under the hood their like a peice of the hood so i can't screw on the nut, and i looked at the stock ones and their like a clip on it, and the new led dont..... maybe casue their universal, is their ones made for eclipses??

I one time put those on my GS. Don't ask why, but I did it to see how they looked because I too got a free pair.

I had to drill in an extra hole, and then waste a whole hour getting those bitches on there. I lost like 2 pieces.

I eventually ended up putting some good tough grease on a screwdriver or something and letting the nut stick to it b4 I could get it on there. Worked out in the end. They're off now of course, and my CF hood doesn't even have holes for sprayer nozzles.

I actually have those LED's on my hood. I happen to like them and is the only thing of that nature I have done to the outside appearance. What I did was I took the hood off the car. Than I took a rotary saw, a small one (A dremel would work best) and I cut the underside of the hood. The hole for the washer nozzle is off centered from the big hole on the underside so I cut the hole underside of the hood longer. Than I was able to easily stick my fingers there and screw the nut on. I than use a socket to tighten it and done. With the wires, I pushed the driver side wires along the tunnel under the hood with a hanger. That way the wire is hidden. I connected them to the passenger side marker light. I used Black wire loom to cover the wires with the windshild washer fliud nozzle hose. Can't even tell I did it, looks like the factory wire loom.

One of my least favorite exterior changes I made, but after what I did to get them on, I don't want to take em off.

I too couldn't get my fat fingers or anything else up in the little factory hole to screw the nut on and I wasn't feeling too super creative after a 9 hour clutch job, so I took some tin shears, cut slits around the hole, then "peeled" the hole wider. It looks like some sort of cartoon exit wound from a bullet blew through my hood and left the damage I created. I'm so ashamed.

Same thing KFT0001 means by "Good." Why would you be trying to put those things on there? Because they improve performance? No. Because they are so wonderfully street-legal in all states? No. If thats the plans you have for your DSM, Ill be glad to take that burden off your hands. I need a turbo, and you might just need a Honda.

to Randomrage: yeah i did them for performance they say 15HP :laugh: , i like them becasue they look better then the stock black ones, even if i dont hook the wires up, i did it cause silver looks good, and if u look at my car everything is either black or silver, if u think thats ricey, you need to learn some

Yea, the completely stock external on my n/a SCREAMS rice doesnt it? So do all the external mods I have planned, as shown on my wishlist.

wow u are ####ed up man, about the vented thing, listen really close, i bought the car, and i opened the hood and the vented BOV was their, i notice i got shitty gas millege, so i read up and found out recirulating is better, its like ur saying it was my falut, that makes no sense and i have a GSX AWD, and yes it would beat a gs 5spd nos, so whats ur 1/4 mile, or is the track too ricey. and i got real upset , i dont care what u say aboutm y car, casue urs will nver look like mine
