Hello all!!

I currently own a Honda Civic EX that I am selling in order to buy a DSM!!!
I had bought the Civic when I didn't have a lot of money, and in hopes of adding a Turbo to it.. for a little more power.
Well, 4 years later... it still has no Turbo, is slow...and... I dont want to spend 5 grand to give it 60-80 more whp. The engine of a Civic is just not strong enough to boost it safely over 12psi... even tho' some have made it to 16psi!!! $$$$$
Before I bought the Civic I had a chance to drive an 97' GST with $2000 in engine mods..intake, downpipe, larger Turbo, boost ctlr.. basicly the Stage 1 upgrade.... To be honest, I loved it!!! and I never forgot what it felt like.. I have always wanted that power again...
Now I can afford it, problem is... I must sell my Civic first.. yeah I owe $6,000 on it!!! bad deal..
I am actually working 2 jobs for a total of 70 hours in order to buy upgrades.

So.... My question is this...
Before I go out and buy a 97 or 98 GST, what are some things I should look for?
Also, what price range should I expect for stock GST's.
I plan on going to a Mitsubishi Dealer to see what inventory they have.

Any information will be very helpfull!!!
Thank you!!!!

Cheers!

ya really. anyone who is interested in dsms is welcome here. Just as long as they dont turn this board into one big pissing match too.

I think these Civic addicts need to gt over what they saw in the fast and the furious.... Now as for that Eclipse... Wow... If mine could only look and perform like that, (and don't you guys love those colored engine dress ups?) but anyway. Completely stock (not considering the fact that the tires would explode at 130 MPH, and any other speed/airflow limiters) What do you think the Max MPH that the 2g eclipse can achive, compared to the Max speed of a civic? (my money is with the DSM ;) )

Check your attitude Rice killer! Everyone who has contructive input is welcome on this site! He is welcome here and is doing reseach on his DSM purchase, which is a very intelligent thing to do. If you wish to flame people, find another forum site to do it on.
Statements like yours (the one I quoted) are examples of what is not welcome here. If you have nothing nice or constructive to say in response to a thread, don't say it.

Ive wanted a GST/X for a looong time. Im 19 and i dont make much money but i settled for what i could get. I personally think DSM is the best looking and best performance you can get for the price. I picked up a salvaged 95 LS integ for 1500 at an auction and its super clean. I just got it 2 weeks ago. Ive had 1 guy offer me 6000 for it. The only reason im doing this is to get a DSM haha. So as soon as i get it smogged and registered its good as gone.
