ok, i bought my car in feb'06 when I realized it had a small boost leak. i tracked it down to the back throttle body (the side with the cable attached to it) shaft seal. the rubber part of the brass seal was badly chewed out, from what... i dont kno. I have keept the boost below 10psi just incase. Ive been to my local dealership and all they had for me was a brandnew 2g TB for $345!!!!, i asked about a 1G TB but it wasnt in stock and cost a bit more.

A buddy of mine is pretty good with dsm's said something about a '85-'94 mustang 5.0 TB? Now ive looked around and havent found much on how these TB's need to be moded, but i have acess to a few 5.0 TB's and can spare a few. if anybody knows what needs to be done i would greatly appericate the info, and the fact that i wouldnt have to spend all that money....

if you have a stock intake manifold its going to be way too small for th mustang TB. the manifold is even too small to port to fit the TB

wow, did not know that. ill just keep an eye out for something on either ebay or the great junkyard:thumb:

I had the same problem with my car. The throttle body shaft seals were leaking. I followed the Vfaq on replacing the shaft seals in the TB. It wasnt to bad. I went to the hardware store picked up the right size O-rings and basically just followed the vfaq step by step. The o-rings are still holding strong. Its been over a year and the car just passed a 25psi boost test yesterday. It cost me a grand total of $1.00 for the o-rings!!!!

thanks for the link that was a good vfaq, and now i am out to my garage to fix some parts that need fixin:D

How much of a difference will it make going from a 52/54mm what ever the stock 2g is to a 60mm?
