I have a LC-1 currently on my car. Ever since Ive owned it in never ran right. The gauge itself never read the actually AFR. But I have it logged into DSMlink so I never really cared. Up until recently I had some tuning done, and the tuner said the wideband wasnt reading correctly. So Im fed up with this Wideband and decided to switch it out for the AEM unit instead. Now youd think it would be a simple swap over but Im having a hard time.

The lc1 has a button with a LED on it in the middle of the harness. Im not sure where to cutt the wires and which wire color goes where as the AEM instuctions are obviously different then the LC-1.

I have my other gauges (boost, oil pressure) installed as well, im trying the best I can to not mess with those. Here are some pictures of the instructions. If you guys could give me any guidance. If I had installed the LC1 to begin with im sure I wouldnt be having this hard of a time but oh well.

I dont want to figure out whats wrong with the LC-1. If I could just get some help with the simple (or not so simple) cutt and resplice from gauge to gauge.

Why are you trying to cut and splice the lc-1 wire harness into the aem harness?

Remove the lc-1 harness and run the aem harness.

What are you talking about? There is no "harness" to be exact.

My LC doesnt play well with link. Thats why Im going AEM. Local tuner has been running same AEM wideband on his car for 8 years and has ran 10's at elevation.

Just trying to get help

So you know (and I hate to be the bearer of bad news), the AEM will be more of a headache as it just doesn't play well with link.

If you want a mapping for LC-1 wires to AEM wires, see below. But it'd be easiest to just rip the whole LC-1 out and install the AEM per instructions.

LC-1 - AEM
Red wire – Red wire
Blue wire – Black wire
White wire - N/A
Brown – White wire
Yellow – N/A
Black – N/A

I know ive herd people having issues with AEM and ECMlink and thats why I went LC1 to begin with. Just going to try this one out for now. If I still have problems maybe Ill buy MTLX or whatever its called.

What about the button with the LED?

^ Exactly what Brian said. The AEM doesn't work well with Link. No better than your Innovat could. And your best bet would be to completely remove the Innovate wiring and sensor and installing the AEM stuff.

As for the red button, AEM's unit does not free air calibrate. It also doesn't use a controlle box like the Innovates's do.

I had problems with the aem unit while running jackal sd tuning program. I pulled the lc-1 from the talon and put in the laser. Harness and gauge.
The aem has the 'control box' built into the gauge. the lc-1 has a box in the harness.
I think that is what they are talking about.

Right. The AEM gauge connects straight to the WB O2 sensor. So I think your best bet would be to wire the Innovate's sensor to the AEM gauge without the controller box. I'm not sure how well it would work with 2 controllers wired together.

^ I was thinking more in terms of cutting and splicing. But I totally agree that mixing/matching the whole setup is a basket of snakes.
