Hey guys, I installed the LC-1 wideband in my car about a month ago with an xd16 gauge. It worked great and I did an open air calibration and everything. I went to start my car today for the first time on this build and it worked for a few mins. I had some issues with starting but once i worked them out, the LC-1 stopped functioning. The gauge reads just lines as if its not connected to the controller anymore. All my wires and grounds are fine. I checked them with a tester. Whether or not the sensor is plugged in or not, nothing is working except the gauge. Im not getting any light out of the LED that i have wired in but I KNOW its getting power.

Only thing i can think of is that I had a short earlier on the little capacitor looking thing that has a wire coming out of it on the right hand side of the IM. and that is RIGHT next to the controller box. It blew the engine relay. I replaced all that stuff and it just will not function. any ideas?

I had one die on my completely after a rebuild, No idea why, nothing happened, just didn't work.

if its reading outside its range it will give you the dashed lines. Might be your running way rich or way lean and maxing the gauge.

Well I can't get it to boot into lm programmer either. It acts like its not plugged in. And all link shows is a 7.3:1. And it hasn't changed since it stopped working.

Call innovative about it maybe it did totally shit the bed on you.

And when plugged into the sensor it doesn't do anything either. It was warming up great this morning and was giving me readings while I was cranking it. But something changed and I dunno what. And it stopped working.

Well the thing about that is I bought the controller from a third party (brand new) over a year ago when I group bought almost everything for the build. And according to Innovate ... its only a 6 month limited warranty.

Sounds like mabey a wire got pulled out or is shorting somewhere. I would remove and check the sensor and the wiring to see if it got fubared somehow.

I've triple checked everything. I've got another gauge running from the same power that still works fine. And everything is so nice and sealed on that controller there's nowhere for it to short.

Did you check to make sure the terminator plug didn't accidentally come out just a bit? I know I had issues with mine coming out ever so slightly which caused it to just read lines. I then put electrical tape around the seam between it and the plug receptacle to make sure it didn't pop out any more.

Yeah I checked all that too. I forgot it when I installed it so I learned about that t plug early.
