Launching at the track yesterday = Check engine light!

So i make my way to the track yesterday for the first time... and everytime i launched the car would like bog and the check engine light would come on. has nothing to do with me launching bad...trust me. The other day i changed my isc, dont know if that could affect n e thing? any ideas? i didnt have my laptop hooked up either cause i need the tmo software cause i lost mine. (please e-mail it to me if you have it [email protected]). anyways... any ideas? thanks.

Could be belt slippage i mean thats what it could be

hhmmm.... belt slippage you say? i did have my oil dipstick pop out the day before and oil went everywhere. so what should i do? any other ideas? could a faulty or wrong isc cause anything?

it also does it out of random once in a blue moon. could it possibly be the isc?

I dont know what the problem is but at least post your times. I was anxious to see 1/4mile times when I clicked the link but was disappointed when there was none.

hahaha. they were nasty. I COULDNT LAUNCH... cause the check engine light would come on, and my intercooler pipe would blow off half way through, and managed to run a 14.0. hahaha. BUT I NEED HELP!

you could try to reset your computer. did you get the right isc?

Please read the code out from the ECU before resetting it and report back what it was.

i need the tmo software, i lost mine, well formatted my laptop and i lost my c.d. would the ecu store the code since it only comes up for one second?
I e-mailed the guy i bought it from and am waiting for a response. what if the isc is from a 90... would it still work in my 91? i would think yes, but i could be wrong.

Yes, the codes are stored even if they are no longer active until you reset the ECU.
Pull the code the old way with a voltmeter, or a 12v LED , or a 12v piezo buzzer.

i definetely think that the isc is from a 90, its bad n e way. so im gonna put my stock one back in till i get another one.
