Hey guys, I haven't updated the log in a while. But I have gotten a lot of work on both cars done. The floors have all gotten painted, and I have started work on the engine and the accessory wire harnesses. I labeled the harnesses thanks to snowborder714's write-up. Now I'm deciding what I will keep and where I will be re-routing stuff. The goal (obviously) is to get rid of anything that I don't need on the harness while anticipating any future mods. So after labeling it, I cleaned it up and then realized I really need the engine to be able to really get an idea of what I'm working with and what to put where.

Here's the engine bay of the new shell everything will be swapping into! I took out the old fuel lines so it's a little cleaner now.
Also, I have changed my plans and will not be painting the car until AFTER it's done, I figure I really need to get the engine together then everything else will come along a lot faster. With that being said, I refuse to leave the engine bay this way, so what do you guys recommend? I've been thinking about plastidipping the engine bay as I've read a lot of people doing it here on tuners but I'm concerned that when I put the drivetrain back in, i'll make a cut in the paint and it will start to peel right away. If anyone has experience with the stuff let me know! Also, if I don't paint it with plasti-dip, what color/ sheen should I choose if the car will be going from the terrible chipping blue to a deep metallic gunmetal.
Here are the rear AWD subframe bolts. These are the longer ones and need to go to the front mounting holes by the rear seats. I used the front FWD bolts in the back because I couldn't take the last two bolts out of the GSX since one got cut to remove the rusty subframe. Anyone that does this swap will know what I'm referring to also, if anyone is doing this swap let me know as I would be glad to help with any questions also, If necessary I could post up some more detailed pictures detailing exactly where to cut to get the bolts in/out because the only 2 how-to's I found had every necessary bit of information except where to cut to avoid ruining the panels of your car thankfully I had a disposable car to practice on!
Also, I had to weld up some reinforcements for the subframe as some parts had rusted through but now after all is said and done, The subframes have been swapped! My GSX is now FWD and the ex-FWD shell is just that! (pictures coming soon!) Now I just need to send the rear diff's case the get blasted and then paint it so I can mount it along with the sway bar which I need to get some endlinks for.
Now I'll be taking my block and crank to a machine shop I was recommended to by my manager who daily drives a TT 300zx pushing 700hp on a conservative pump tune so hopefully they do quality work since the owner supposedly has a built Talon! I'll be bringing it to them so they can do some work and tell me if I'm looking at .020 over pistons or if I'll have to go bigger.
