Well it's time for another update on my build progress.
Last time it was merely an updated parts list and now I am here to show you some progress that has occurred recently.
It started by receiving a call a couple weeks ago that the bearings from Mitsubishi have finally arrived after much aggravation to both myself and Justin (mechanic). It got to the point that he doesn't deal with York Mitsubishi anymore.
He was happy with the specifications on these bearings and the motor was finally starting to come to life. Rods and pistons mating up, crankshaft put in and all the timing components mounted.
It's just looking so beautiful now, the whole engine block was painted gloss black along with the head and valve cover (powder coated). Accents were done in an aluminum color spray so everything is looking nice and new.
Only had a couple hiccups along the way but have been addressed and taken care of.
Here are a couple pictures of the build so far.

This shot has my HX40 setup on it for a mock shot.

Speaking of the HX40, I came across an issue while putting it all together. All pieces bolted up fine but the issue I had was with the turbo-o2 housing gasket. When it was on, there was a lot of over hang into the open space where exhaust would travel. Once I noticed that, I got the dremel out and started to grind away.
I didn't realize the overhang until AFTER I sprayed it down. It was cleaned up and resprayed afterwards.

The gasket for the -12AN drain fitting had to be trimmed as well as it was too big too.

Enjoy!
Edit:
I called the shop yesterday to hear an update on the build. The engine is fully assembled with transmission on and all. They have installed the engine into the car and are starting the exhaust fabrication today. I'm not posistive if the engine bay is all pieced together or that just the motor is put in. So far, it's going pretty smoothly.
