I just got my koni yellow shocks in. After taking apart the old shock and getting the oem parts off the old one I am not sure what to reuse. The diagram and instruction for the koni are not that great. So after comparing the manual to the new instructions I am confused. I have tein springs with stock shocks,
Do I open up the cup more to fit over the new shock?
Does the thicker washer go in the cup and the smaller washer on top?
Do I need a dust cover?
Do I need to cut the bump stop?
Is the A/B the cup?
Is the metal sleeve supposed to slide in 3 and 4 to hold them together according to koni?
Is there anything to be at the bottom by the plastic washer?
Why would it tell me to not use the 2 washer or use it?

It also seems like with all the bushings and stuff on there there are no threads left to tighten the bolt to the upper mount.

The koni's come with a big, thick washer. Use that instead of the stock metal dust boot thingy. You should however pry the dust boot off and reuse. Next, use the koni supplied piece through the oem rubber bushings in the top mount. The stock one is too narrow to fit over the koni shaft. The rest of the install is more or less same as stock.

The way your Koni Shock it's in the picture put the bump stop in next and then put the rubber pice with the metal tube in next. Then the washers go on top of the mount that's not in the picture

You should mount them like the factory strut. The Tein springs had info in the box about how much of the bump stop to cut, it was like trim quarter of an inch off of the bottom.

The dust sleeve and bump stop should have a washer on each side so that they do not get damaged by the strut collapsing.

If you're not able to get the top nut on the top of the strut to mount you will need to get some spring compressors, or get creative and line up the strut into the mount and use a floor jack to push up on the strut to get the spring collapsed enough to fit the strut top through the mount

After I took apart the shocks the bump stops are rotted and need new ones. So I got a shock bellow that comes with it and tried 2 different brands and both bump stops dont fit like factory. The new ones can easily slide all the way down on the shock and pass the stop. I also need the rubber that goes around the top mount. What do you guys do for bump stops?

So I use the thick washer instead of the metal cup?

Correct.

Follow these instructions:

-Install white plastic washer that came with the koni's. It should slide all the way down and rest at the bottom of the shaft.
-Throw on the new spring.
-Install bumpstop.
-Install your stock dust boot, minus the cup.
-Install thick washer that came with the koni's.
-Affix new shaft thingy and original bushings onto your top mount.
-Line up your topmount and insulator.
-Tighten the top bolt. If you have a gun or something powered, this is easy. Otherwise, use an 8mm socket on top of the koni shaft and an open end 17mm to tighten the bolt.

Rinse and repeat 3 more times. You're going to love the koni's.
