this is a 98 gsx automatic with a lil over 80,000 miles on the entire car.

To start off, I figured if i needed to know something, i should come ask the people who know the most about my cars setup.

i have a ton of aftermarket parts, I will not be using them.

My goal is to buy another engine as mine is blown, and build it wth stock parts and ecu's to get the most out of the car i can without using my expensive parts. As i am selling the car, but i still want it to have pep in it's step, so it'll more than likely sell quicker.

I'd like to use the 2g intake manifold ported to be matched to the 1g throttle body.

injectors i'd like to use the 510cc yellow, from an evo 3 or japaneese galant with a big turbo

I need to change out my stock automatic ecu with a 5 spd ecu, and even after studing the how to build a 4g63t engine book, i am still confused on wich year model i should try to find, so my cas and speed sensor both will still work...
if you have any knowledge on this please let me know.

I plan on deleting the balance shaft the right way before i stick the motor in the car.

I'll be using the evo III big 16 g turbo charger with an evoIII intercooler., I may go ahead and use the dnp exhaust manifold as most people feel a wow factor when they see tubular exhaust manifolds.

greddy type s bov

I'm woundering if i should convert the 16g to an external waste gate so i don't have to worry about my boost level... any guidence on this with the setup i'm trying to accomplish would be great.
the egr valve is deleted, but still attached, the evap cansisters etc.. are all deleted.

my idea is to have a fairly maintanence free intercooler piping so, we are deciding rather we will tig weld the piping and only have 4 couplers.

my fuel pump is rewired,

with a 190lph pump.

my biggest concerne is not having to tune the car and it run fairly reliable, keeping the over boost controls with an oem ecu...
as if i had that, my car would have never blew up when it over boosted to 42psi in the first place.

please4 feel free to give me some ideas or pointers, i am verry open to critisizm or advice, thanks guys.

I'm going to be honest man, your going to loose your ass if you rebuild the motor
sell the car. Just keep that in mind. Now onto your questions:

2g intake mani with the 60mm 1g T/B is a great idea.

510's injectors are ok for lower boost levels (18 psi or less).

Why do you need to change your ecu? What's wrong with yours?

DNP manifolds are expensive, look at the Forced Performance cast manifold.

Greddy type S is a great valve, I liked the one I had.

No need to convert the 16g to an external gate, unless your having some major problems.

Pump and rewire are good to go, don't forget a fuel pressure regulator with gauge.

What are you using to tune your car? (Link, SAFC, Etc?)

1g tb on a 2g intake mani works great. its amazing what a little throttle response can do even while on the highway.

if your selling it i would go plan old jane 16g internally gated because E316g's don't agree with low boost when you have an upgraded DP.

as far as the dnp mani goes don't forget your selling the car and its better to settle lower when you don't have much invested than losing a sale because you will lose money. modded cars don't sell the way you would expect them to unless you get real lucky with a noob.

the 16g at 15psi will pull nice and not need injectors and tuning. might be able to get away with the stock sidemount if you keep it under 12psi.

i guess you haven't read my mod list that i have for the car.

the only things i will be buying are minimal,

like a 5 spd ecu, as automatics are tuned for smaller injectors and throttle body.. etc... that book i mentioned goes into much more detail, and i have to agree with it. I'm just confused on witch that will work.

my car is blown up so a rebuild is inevitable. I am a consure of sorts so comming by parts, not a ploblem, figuring out whats the best route , well thats a lil different.
I will most likely not change over to an external waste gate as most people with money don't like loud

the car is going to be sold and rebuilt so please take no admission to those facts, i just need responses due to the build i would like to perform.

2g's you do not need to change the ECU. Unless you want a 95 Eprom ecu. Auto or manual are the same. You are confusing the 1g's with the 2g's.

other then that, grab DSM Link and your other mods will work nice for what you are looking to get.

My comments in red.

It's not going to make much a difference compared to everything else you're doing. If you're just going to sell it, skip this.

Anything more than the stock 450cc injectors will need tuned some how.

There's no gain between the automatic and 5 speed ecu in the 2g's. A swap will net you nothing. Get a 98/99 black plastic ecu which can be flashed to tune it. Look under the tuning sub-forum for info on that. You can adjust for your larger injectors (any size) this way. It's a cheaper way to put a simple tune on the car than ECMLink.

I plan on deleting the balance shaft the right way before i stick the motor in the car.
Alright. Just use the OEM stubby shaft with the groove.

I'll be using the evo III big 16 g turbo charger with an evoIII intercooler., I may go ahead and use the dnp exhaust manifold as most people feel a wow factor when they see tubular exhaust manifolds.
Are you sure you mean Evo III intercooler? A Supra side mount may be easier to find.

Remember to recirculate it.

I'm woundering if i should convert the 16g to an external waste gate so i don't have to worry about my boost level... any guidence on this with the setup i'm trying to accomplish would be great.
You won't need to go external. Just port the exhaust housing a bit and you should be fine.

the egr valve is deleted, but still attached, the evap cansisters etc.. are all deleted.

All that sounds ok.

You need to tune it some how if you're going to put larger injectors and the 16g on it. Once again, I suggest flashing the stock 98/99 ECU. you can set the fuel cut to what ever level you want.

Hope that helps.

Why do all that work just to sell it?

i already own dsmlink and have for years, I'd like to not have to use it as i have a buyer.
i also have a buyer for the car for $8,500 when i get it going again. the car is the definition of flawless instide and out.with an original 80,000 miles 2 owners, the first kept it stored half her life as her son was deployed and killed in war.

so those are my reasons.

I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND THE TECH ARTICAL ON FLASHING MY BLACK BOX ECU.. sry for caps.

can u post a link up for me, this seems like my best bet for my setup
