The wire from the knock sensor came out... Is there any way to solder it back on, or do I have to spend 80 bucks for a new one? And the car is not running any different with the knock sensor off... I turned down the boost to 8 1/2 psi so I could drive it and not worry about knock... I read it was supposed to cause the car to run in "limp mode"... Any guesses why?

My guess? I would think that because it can't read knock it can't adjust the timing accordingly. But I could be wrong.

I was yanking out my vac lines for my emissions stuff (they run under the intake manifold) and when I pulled out a bundle of hoses, a little y-splitter on the one of the hoses snagged it and pulled it out... sucks huh?

I would assume those wires have a certian resistance internally, therefore soldering them would alter the resistance. Giving you wonky knock numbers.

A good solder will add no difference to the resistance of the wire. Notice I said good. Just replace it will teach you not to just start yanking things.ROFL You had to yank pretty hard to pull the wire out.

not really...when I pulled it out looked quite old... Im already going to buy another one as soon as I get paid...
