I've done much searching and can't find what I need to know. I have a 97 gst and the previous owner hacked up the knock sensor wire at the ecu. There is a black with white striped wire that is just taped off and not connected and the white knock sensor wire has this exposed wire coming out of a green wire cover that's coming from the white knock sensor wire LOL. Should this black/white wire be connected to the knock sensor exposed wire? The o2 sensors also have these exposed wires but are connected to the exposed wires on their harness to two black wires and three more black/white wires. This looks horrible. I can't post pics atm either. Anyone else deal with this mess of wires that can please help me figure this out?

The green sleeve is to stop interference from other signals, leave that on. As far as your black wires I'd ha e to look at a diagram, I suggest trace them back to where ever they came from best you can so you know what they are. Wire the knock sensor to the ecu alone. What are you using for tuning?
