Did you read the post at all ? I wrote and was arguing a 2003 M3 doesn't run 12.6 Bone Stock, show me where I said I can beat one? A stock DSM is by no means slow, unless you consider 14.7 BONE STOCK(Slips are in other posts) slow.

this is from my personall experience, i ran with an m3, some rich kids parents bought him that for his 17th birthday, he just gotten the car the same day, i ran him twice, once on the highway and from a light, both times i pulled on him, and yes i do have a t25. never got to ask him what year it was, but from what happened during the race i have to assume that the car was around a 98, because there is no way in hell that i could pull on a 03 m3. 98GSTred just wanna tell you nice kill man.

Boss I know the owner of the car personally. Lee has been racing since before I could drive and owned the fastest stock 5.0 mustang back in 1988. It took him over 2 years of racing to achieve this time in his M and beat his previous record of a 12.72. We were talking when we were at Tobyfest last weekend and he said he honestly doesn't think he could beat his 12.63 because that was as perfect as he could have driven the car. He did say he'd run 12.7's all day long. Launching at 5500rpm and power shifting which seasoned drivers know how to do without ruining their tranny's it is possible. As I said it took him over 2 years to achieve this with his car, time which car magazine testers don't have with any given car.

We are looking at renting Atco in the near future so anyone that wants to put their money where their mouth is and doesn't want to play Internet tough guy is welcome to come inspect Lee's car and see a 12.7 at least. He is looking forward to making some money. When we do rent Atco for the day I will post the info in this thread.

What are you arguing about? I guess you forget ET's depend alot on your 60'. I have run a mid 13 and a high 12 at the same trap speed with only a difference in the launch (60 foot)! Let's not forget M3's come with very good rubber STOCK. His trap speed should tell you FOR A FACT that it was stock. I've read about that M3 before. It was on street tire and cut a very good 60' due to an impeccably prepped track. A RWD can launch just as hard as an AWD if it can hook which in this case it did due to the reason I gave. There's no arguing it was all on video...and it was bone stock. Please..

I think you need to stop smoking the crack. RWD will out launch awd any day of the week. Look at sheps 60' times and then look at any RWD dragger tell me who's are better. Your comment about z06s is rediculous because low end power is not want you want for launching on street tires, tell me becuase you have a FWD eclipse, where do you want your power band?? The weight of the vehical is moving backwards(read this many times becuase it is very important), alright I will say it again just incase you are having some trouble reading it, The weight of a car will move BACKWARDS when launching a car. There for, for obvious reasons, FWD is the ultimate handicap when drag raccing, Now lets think of this. We have car #1 which is rwd and car #2 which is awd. The weight of the car is still moving backwards onto the rear tires. Now tell me how is that going to effect grip of the rear tires, yup you guessed it, it is going to aid in traction. Now if that is happening awd doesn't help as much as it used to does it? So who now has the advantage, the tranny destroying, massive drivetrain loss awd. Or the Less drivetrain loss rwd car??

I think shep know's more than anything about these cars and even he says himself that rwd is superior for drag racing, drag racing an awd is like drag racing a fwd once you start making some serious power. Especially in our cars that are awd designed around a fwd configuration.
