If I purchase a kiggly hla, undecided right now.. I guess first question should be.. Should I? Is it a 150 well spent?

And if I do, should my old school..

gen1 pte dbb 6165-gt35r/gt37r (0 mile full rebuild, new garrett large frame gt40r bearing cage, full new seals, new garrett gt37r turbine wheel, new billet gt35r comp wheel)

.. Should it be fed from the head or the ofh.. I know most people run from the head with a 20-30 restrictor fitting installed... But with the hla regulating to 15psi.. Would it even be flowing enough to the head for that to be a good tap point for the feed line to the turbo?

Yes, get the Kiggly HLA. You can feed the turbo from either source. The OFH will require a restrictor.

I thought the rule of thumb was ball bearing from the head, and journal from OFH..

Im going to have to go mighty max/forward facing ofh for my 1pc 3inch o2 housing and downpipe... It apparently only has one 1/8 bspt fitting, and I have that sending unit coming off my existing 1990 ofh, and an oil pressure line to my gauge, and then will need to do another line for the feed to it... Could I rig up some kind of multiple tee fitting system coming from that one small 1/8 port? Or it better to just tee out just to the sending unit and oil line to the gauge, and leave the turbo feed on the head..?

The kiggly doesn't reduce pressure to the turbo feed. Just the lifters.

Are you sure? I assumed if I was feeding from the head, and it limited the oil pressure to the head, wouldn't that limit anything coming out of the head also??

"Does not reduce pressure to the cams or turbocharger feed, these are still full pressure" quoted from Kiggly's website. I wouldn't think you would want constant 15 psi anywhere but the lifters.

Precision ballbearing and journal bearing are recommended from the ofh, unfiltered unrestricted (restrictor built into the chra).

FP/garrett recommended of the head with restrictor/filter

kiggleu HLA won't effect the turbo as stated before

Yeah I'm using precision skins with all garrett guts basically like I said up in the top, and I've heard of a lot of precisions failing because they rely on the built in.. I'll include a pic of the built in pin/restrictor and the restrictor fitting the guy before me had installed..

I have never heard of a ballbearing pte turbo failing cause of relying on the chra restrictor. Ive heard of them failing from being over restricted. Anyway regardless follow the manufacturer recomendations.

Agreed with others that the Kiggly HLA will not affect oil flow to areas other than lifters. The main purpose is to bleed excessive pressure when exceeding 15 psi which is most helpful with higher rpm and/or blow-by conditions. You would notice that oil build-up is decreased in the intake tract because oil is where it is supposed to be (Ideally anyway). I run three of them (2 DSMs and 1 Evo).
