I dont know if it has anything to with the chip, but it is running like crap and stalling out. also, my studder box is kicking in in all gears at 3500. Anyne else have this problem? I dont seem to have any boost leaks or anything either.

I've had no problem with mine, been running the chip for about a year. Did you contact them (keydiverchips) before you posted this?

Check with Jeff....great guy and more than willing to work with you. Maybe your setup was misunderstood or something. I tested several chips for Jeff and he is an A+ guy and the best person i've EVER dealt with over the internet. :thumb:

I had many issues with my chip as well, I finally broke down and bought DSM link.

heres the last email I sent him:

today I spent all day messing with the car.. my timing before today was set at 8* base.

I dropped it a couple of degrees at a time all the way to 0* and higher than 8*.. nothing changes. only difference is with the timing too low I basically loose ALL power and have to downshift and rev over 5k just to move at any rate faster than a metro.

I set the timing to 5* continued messing with the AFC..

my low throttle settings were tried from -10% to +15% in 2% increments and test drove between each. still no change in the knock.

I put the stock chip back in and went to my old AFC settings and the car ran fine

all I got out of my testing today was a missing 3/8 tank of gas and the belief that there is no hope in this chip working, so I came inside and ordered DSM Link AND bought a Laptop. So pretty much the way I feel about this is I donated $130+/- to you for something I cannot use.

In a perfect world I would like to see some refund for this, knowing the Eprom itself costs you about $5, I don't think you should have a probem with this. Let me know.

Thanks.

me too, mine ran awesome, i would suggest contacting him, what other options did you get?

Do you have a logger? Maybe your ecu isn't getting your speed. I say this because the studder box is setup for when the MPH=0. If the ecu never sees >0mph, it will always be active.. Good luck. I'm sure if it's not that, Jeff will fix it. He's a great guy! :thumb:

Well maybe because I forgot that I broke my speed sensor putting my tranny in. I will get a new one. I do have one question, does anyone ever have problems popping thier 30amp ignition fuse? I just put it in reverse and jerked the car real hard and now I am popping igntion switch fuses.

and there you go ;)

I'm on my 3rd JeffO chip.. and now costs me $20 whenever I need an upgrade (new 660s on the way + extended fuel maps)

All had no problems and Jeff was awesome at explaining what I needed.
FYI.. always make sure to add any additional mods not listed in his form in the "Notes" box when you order (i.e. base FP not stock, hot cams..etc).. as he looks at each order and will customize to your setup.

I am going to replace that sensor soon. I hope that is the problem. It felt like I had a boost leak bu it didnt have a boost leak. weird.

As others already said, I give my customers A1 treatment. I burned you a new chip, with a few extra tweaks, in case something was wrong in the first one, but you couldn't even wait for it to arrive before you had already ordered a DSMLink. Then, you further insult me by placing a value of $5 on my work, totally disregarding the thousands of R&D hours I have in them, and expect a refund.
I feel that you have some serious issues with your car, a chip certainly isn't going to fix them, and even if you do get it to run half decent with the DSMLink it is probably a bandaid covering up the real problem. You were having to add way too much fuel, even before my chip, so you probably have a fuel pressure issue.

Oh, and back on topic, yes, you MUST have a functional speed sensor if you expect your car to run correctly with the 2-step activated.

I will be test driving the car tommorow when I get the speed sensor put in. I will be getting a wideband in a few days too. I think the chip will be good. I might add that the customer service was good. He always got back and forth with me with answers. I am going to try the keydiver/safc/wideband path and see how that goes. Wish me luck.
