does anyone have a 95 with the 96-99 remote and it works correctly? that seems to be the only ones available. does the panic button just not function? Or will it even program?

Did you try the dealership. You will probably have to go to them anyway to get it programmed. I kinda need a spare myself.

Not to hijack your thread or anything but how could I tell if my 95 actually came with remote keyless entry and I just don't have a key fob for it?

nice patrick, like that one yes!

and you dude, how you tell really, virtually all gsts and gsx's in 95-99 came with keyless, talk to your dealer

If your eclipse has power door locks and when you lock the driver door there should be a "security"green light that flashes on the instrument panel. If it is there...most likely you have keyless entry.

If anyone happens to have the FCCID off of the factory Mopar EVS security system "brain" for a '95 Talon (not sure if Eclipse and Talon have different EVS systems installed), could you PLEASE post it in here. The sticker on the back of mine is not readable anymore and I need a replacement remote for mine and don't want to pay $120 to get one from the dealer. Thx!

I was in the same situtaion you where were I found out my gs-t came with a keyless entry but I didn't have one for it. I went to the dealership and they got me 2 that look just like that for $20.

That's it, though to be safe always buy remotes by the FCC ID number, which is GQ43VT6T.
Note that Talon remotes didn't come with the Panic button, although if you take it apart, the contacts are right there on the circuit board. Eclipse remotes work fine for Talons, and if you push the panic button, the car does indeed panic. Oh, and pisses-off your neighbors in the bargain. Especially during the hours I'm usually on here.
