Just rebuilt my head now I am having a compression issue

Ok , so I have a 95 talon tsi awd and I just put a remachined head on it along with a bunch of aftermarket parts and now when I start it up it starts and runs like it is misfiring or maybe one of the cylenders isnt firing.. after a min the engin kinda starts to go off balance , but its not the timing, timing is tits... and i checked the compression today and its 150 - 150 - 65 - 150 would that one piston thats at 65lbs of compression be causing this issue , i think someone that was helping me with the build couple have bent one or two of the valves... would this be a likly senario?

and when we took the plugs out to check the compression the brandnew plugs were all covered in oil ... and they were brand new plugs

Sounds like to me you have bad rings. Which can cuase low compression. If you have oil on your plugs has bad as you say you due. Thats diffently a ring problem. I would say bent valves coul cause if if they hit the piston but it would probably not even run then. It would be nosiy.

no it would run, poorly though. My timing skiped about 2 notches and i couldn't hear the contact. If the valve was bent it could cause damage to the guide, which would allow a lot of oil to come into the combustion chamber.

the lack of compression in that cylinder could be from not cleaning the head or block surface , or even having it machined and smoothed, from when you put the head on.

that would not explain the oil on the plug but thats my .02$

I head the head remachined and it was decked , I cleaned all the old stuff off of the deck of the block , I am thinking there is a valve or two that might be bent , and all of the plugs have the black residue on them , so I don't think it would be one bad ring causing all of those issues... and not to mention the car ran pretty good besides the fact that a couple valves were sticking and I had a blown head gasket ...


I am fed up with it so it is going to regulate motorsports out here in las vegas and I am gonna have them check it out... Any more feedback would be nice though
