kk i'm a honda boy at heart, but i picked up this 94 gsx with 150k because it was real clean. anyways, i don't know what to do really with dsm's, my plan is keeping the internals stock, and adding fmic kit, 16g turbo, 560cc injectors and walboro 255 fuel pump. my question is, will the stock 7 bolt block be able to hold it? i'm hoping for 300 awhp and i'll call it quits, so can i use a afc to tune for 300 with this set up? thanks a lot!!

Are you reading the links I gave you? Like I said pretty much all your questions have been answered if you do a simple search. You should spend a lot of time reading through the links I gave you and the forums before even fixing the car. There are plenty of threads on what causes high idle.

how much hp can the 14b's handle? and how many psi's?

on my 2g auto gsx i ran 20psi on the 14b and it held all the way through. i wouldnt go more than 20psi, i may be wrong but 22psi is the max before it starts to suck in hot air(?)ROFL , i want to say also that the 14b is good for 260ish whp at most(his on a 2g anyways w/ bolt on's) just a rough figure though all dsm's are different in the way they put out the POOOWER.

Hey man welcome to the club.
I think everyone has owned a Honda at some point in their life so dont feel bad when they try to make fun of you for it.

i haven't yet although i wouldnt mind an all motor hatchback as a DDOMG

safc+logger if you go that route. if your goal is plain and simple 300whp i'd suggest just going with a small 16g turbo. but once u get there from experience you'll want more. i put on my car a 14b and than wanted more once i reached 20psi on that LOL. now im in the process of stroking the motor and going 4202 1.01 a/r turbo setup :) it gets addictive and fast LOL

Watch the punctuation please. And do you have proof of that 14b hp#?

Honestly a simple search could answer all this guys questions. The 14b max as been beaten to death.

And ugh, punctuation.

i type as i think of this stuff LOL, sorry i suck at anything to deal with english class. force of habit i guess, simple and to the point. but yea he asked its in this thread so i tried my best to lead him into the right direction

This may be over your head right now, but read up on EPROM ECUs... My 94 GSX had the EPROM chipped ECU from the factory. You should read a bit and find out if yours has one as well because then you can get a Keydiver chip to increase the performance of your car with the 550s or 650s, plus a few more goodies. That chip will also let you take more advantage of the S-AFC because you wont need any injector compensation on the S-AFC since Keydiver sets the base fuel maps to 550s or 650s depending on what you use. So if you get that chip, you could run injectors as big as you want with a S-AFC.

235? stock is 210 there is a boost leak or something not right with the car.

i thought 210 was at the crank or whatever and not the wheels, coud be wrong but anywho.

If 300 is your goal, a S16G can get you there but a evo16g can do it easier and if you search around there is not a huge difference in price plus it lets you grow later on WHEN you want more.

^^dang way faster than I am,LOL^^^

Haha, I win!

But really, just research A LOT. I was a member of this site for like a year before i posted anything. And before that i just read. A LOT.

And i still barely know anything about these cars compared to some guys.

wow thanks a lot for the help, dsm guys are a lot more helpful and friendly than honda guys, LOL, at least so far, but yea i have started reading, but there's only so much i can read in a day, i've had the car for like what 5 days so far? LOL. but i will definitely start reading thanks again!

I just cant wait untill he gets all this going and gets on the road with 300 hp, even just crank hp. At 20 psi, and wonders why the hell he ever drove a honda...:p
And the day he curses he ever bought one of these money pits..ROFL
;) All in all, have fun!

No problem man, maybe you are starting to see that we're the light side. Rebel's in our own cause! Hah.

We will keep being this helpful if you follow forum rules too. (like punctuation and proper english).

Thats 1 thing you will notice is that were not like honda drivers all tryin to be cocky and arrogant and be like i have vtec. We do have a casue and thats to let every one enjoy the the fun of owing a dsm and helping the keep the enjoyment, though you will have ups and downs and want a divorce, just remeber we here when you need us. Oh yeah and welcome and i hope you got a nice size checkin accountLOL

joe:dsm:

haha yea, also if anyone have any parts for sale that they might think will help my build, please do post them up, unless it's against forum rules of course.

Sorry, we can not do that here. Quick way to get a thread closed. just look up there in the right hand side of the screen and you will see the "Classifieds". There is all sorts of stuff in there, just need to search for it

As far as upgrades go, just follow the upgrade path for the free mods, stage 1, 2 and 3....fairly simple

Hahah, there is that right? Sorry, it's really hard to type completely right after you've been on honda-tech for such a long time.

Just another way we are better than the hondas. Haha. I'm just teasing.

You wanna make sure you all watch that stuff here though, everyone will be MUCH more receptive if you follow forum rules and search and whatnot.

And once you're a full member, there is a classifieds section with parts and wheels and stereo stuff.

Check out the vfaq, check the staged mods here(upgrade path), and be sure to keep track of the site sponsors. Those are mostly vendors who make some killer dsm parts. I'd tell you my faves, but then i'd be doing a review out of place.

Good luck, happy boosting, and if there's anything else, just let us know!

Its ok its understandable that honda ppl are a little slower and even rode the short busROFL. But dont let that bother, casue now you will be on the ride of your life and see the difference from short bus(honda) to well just wait. All i can say is sit back hold on and enjoy the ride:thumb:

hey guys, i've been searching and reading vfaq, it says that the normal pressure is suppose to be from 8 to 12, i just installed a faze boost gauge into my car, and it's reading at like around 7.5ish, the needle doesn't bounce or nething when it goes to full boost, i don't know if that matters or not, but yea does this mean my turbo is ####ed? it doesn't drop boost at all when i redline it neither.
