So i brought my car into Mitsbushi to figure out what the hell was wrong with it. So they did some tests and found out i have bent intake valves. So im pretty much screwed. They said it would be 2600 for just the top cylinder head overhaul. or 5000 for a remanufactured motor. I dont know what to do. And right now i cant find any DSM's for sale in that price range. I dont want to part with my DSM.

I'd be looking around the forums for a decent head. If you can't find anything, definitely get a friend, or something to help out rebuilding it yourself.

Wow, I'm suprised none of you caught this. But it would require the SAME amount of work to rebuild a N/T as a Turbo head, because they are EXACTLY THE SAME!!!! (with the expection being automatics. It is not hard to do minor rebuilds. I even made my own valve compressor for $3.

I'll tell you what, you send me the head and all parts and I will rebuild it for you for EXTRA cheap, I'm talking like $100 + price for parts and shipping. If you do it yourself, then you got my help (advise) free of charge.

Yeah, rebuilding the head isn't very hard. Just valve lapping takes some time.

I bought a complete turbo head with 112k on it for 100$. Even Slowboy has race heads for around 800$

any junk yard in your area that you can pull parts out yourself? if you break anything just move to the next car ;) plus you'll get and idea how the head would come off then just put it back on :)

Alright just to give you guys an update. I plan on keeping the car and rebuilding the head this summer. I just dont feel like messing with in this damn cold weather, so im getting a car cover and I'm just let it sit until summer. The only reason why im keeping it is because of how good condition its in. Im also looking into finding a rebuilt turbo motor and maybe go that route with it instead. It's still up in the air.

Right now im still trying to find a 2g in my area. Ive got around 5g's to work with but im having no luck.

I'll post an update if anything changes.

Alright so i finally came to the conclusion of getting a rebuilt motor. I found a guy that will get the motor and do it for me, for 1600. I think thats a pretty good deal. But thanks again for all the feedback.
