Well I just found out the honeycombs are removed in my MAS on my GSX and I was told since that is the case my CEL will be on and I'm currently trying to get the car smogged and my CEL is already on because of my BCS not being hooked up(according to a diagnostic reader)but it is tuned for it on my SAFCII and I have a BCS coming in the mail to make my CEL go away for smog but I'm worried it may stay on still because of it all.

do you have a friend with a 2g that would let you borrow his mas so you can pass smog?
:aha:

Just get on car-part.com and buy a new 2G MAS (air flow meter). They can be found for VERY cheap, since they were used on so many Mitsubishis in the 1990's.
But, with an AFC you should be able to add enough airflow at idle and lower rpm's to make the fueltrims happy, and not get a CEL. My recommendation is still to get a new MAS, as removing 2G honeycombs is a worthless "free mod", IMO, unless you are making >425 wheel HP.

My AFC is tuned for it, got my BCS in and the CEL went away. I'm very happy. Now My battery and alternator are fried, I possibly have a slow drain somewhere.

ok i have a question,... why do people remove their honeycombs...???

The car came with it that way, and I just realized it when I was putting the stock intake back on. Pointless to me, but it doesn't make the car run any different that I can tell. Supposedly it allows 18% more air flow, but I doubt it..
