Okay so i had just recently replaced my head as i had a few bent valves/bad valve seals... yada yada.

so i get it all put back together and did not fell like trying to mess with the timing so i took to a reputable place and had them do the timing job... replaced all the belts also.

The car starts up perfectly but... when you give it throttle its really laggy and doesnt want to climb rpms very fast... Also when you try and drive it almost wants to die out when your coming out of gears... and when you try to give it gas its really sluggish not to mention it doesnt want to build boost!

Wondering if anyone has any of these same problems? With some real help not some 2 cents

I have done numerous searches but no one seems to have my same problem with real answers so wondering if anyone has some helpful advice

Thanks Tim

So within the last 4 hours you got a tester and did a boost leak test, you failed to mention that point. You did post a picture of your ignition but that just shows the color, it doesnt show where it leads or the side, you say it has no knobs or screws, I believe you. Also you didn't check to see your base timing is correct with a timing light. You mentioned you checked some gaskets and the puttering/timing issue went away, but without actually touching the timing how could it of gone away. DSM's are very different than most cars. If you have even one or two small boost leaks you can have the problem you are having. You say the boost shot to 17 psi on the highway, is it set for this, or are you creeping badly. There are so many options and you have to sort through them. I doubt its your coil pack because the problem that is occurring doesn't sound anything like the ignition breaking up. :ohdamn: goodluck

Ya i know! Its a huge pain in the ass... Im going to go over to this guys shop (with my car) tuesday and ask him to re-check the timing on it... and have him do a boost leak test!

Honestly these cars are so figity!
