Here's a pic of it. all 3" aluminum, and the worm clamps were just for me to mount it up to make sure it fit so don't give me any crap about not having t bolts on it yet.

I'll try to get some pics up with it mounted, just waiting for the throttle body, which I should have tomorrow. Biggest problem now is the outlet of the GT40 is having severe clearance issues with the crossmember :(

Oh and if anyone is interested, the pricing break down to do this is as follows:

6 Polished 3" Aluminum 90 bends with legs - $68 shipped
All cutting - $4
Welding - $35

So all in all, its a very economical system allowing you have proper flow to back it up. This system won't work however without a blow through since this pipe sits directly in the way of any sort of intake to the turbo, I'm going to have to be running a Cone directly on the compressor itself.

A GT40 has a compressor of about 8" in Diameter.

The clearence of a DSM valve cover-to-radiator support is about 8 1/4"

So you either have to relocate some support mounts and do some clearancing, or do what I did and...*oops, almost gave away some trade secrets. :)

You got a welder, get creative!

Nice pipe. :thumb:

I would just fab up a new crossmember and front motor mount. You can get a lot more clearance under there that way. The pipes look great though.

The clearance of a Galant VR4 valve cover-to-radiator support is 7 1/2", it's a little over 9" on a DSM. Easiest way to gain clearance on a Galant in that area is to buy an aluminum Scirocco radiator($200), and it will fit UNDER the radiator support and still clear short route intercooler pipes. You gain about 2.5" this way. Just imagine your radiator support as the point that is closest to the valve cover and that's what it would look like.

The front crossmember has been a nightmare, let's just say Carbide bits FTW. Otherwise the other big clearance problem was the center top exit of the 2G radiator, fixed by running a 1G radiator with some alterations. Otherwise, its all going smoothly. Just need to ditch the 1G throttle body for a Q45 and I'll be in business!
