Is this all I'll need to power the 6x9s, door speakers, and dash tweeters in the 2g? I have Infinity speakers replacing the doors and 6x9s but stock dash tweeters (I think). Here's a link to more info on the 4sc plug-in module for the basslink:
Infinity BassLink 4sc Multichannel amplifier expansion module for Basslink II at Crutchfield.com

I wasn't looking for a crazy system, just something that sounded a little better. I got a great deal on the basslink and 4sc together, so hopefully this does the trick. It's been so long since I've worked on stereo stuff...

Sounds dandy for a simple upgrade. This is pretty much the only amp upgrade I've ever seen.
Will it deliver audiophile quality? No. Improvement? More than likely.

Depending on how much you spent, I might have gone with a real component front stage and a real amplifier. It depends on your tastes though. If you've actually improved the stock infinity system with this arrangement then awesome. It sounds pretty good to begin with - more is only better. If you did it for under 100 bucks then even more awesome.

For reference, I run a SoundStream 2ch amp for my front stage (discontinued :( ). This amp provides over 100w RMS to EACH side. The rears are run from the Infinity amp. If I were to do it again, I'd be looking at 200w RMS wattage per ch.

This car has been raped as far as the stereo, it has Kenwood speakers in there now... I picked up the Infinity Reference speakers from a member here and will put those in at the same time. Right now it sounds like garbage. Can barely hear the fronts and it sounds like a tape recorder.

Anyway, I got this basslink and add-on module for $100. Hopefully it all works out decently. I still miss my old Bose stock stereo in the A6, man that sounded so good. And I'm not even a big Bose fan. If I can get this stereo to sound half as good as that I'll be happy.

For $100 you've done well, especially if you're going to match it up to the infinity speakers - gotta admit they certainly threw some sound around for a stock system.

I'm not a bose fan - at all. But I've got to admit the A6 sounds beautiful as is.

After looking into the basslink.. now I want one!

You must have gotten the last one from the site as it's listed as "discontinued" now LOL

Yeah, the guy I bought it from locally said he bought up all of Crutchfield's stock when he heard they were discontinuing it. Not sure why they stopped production, seems like a cool product to compliment the basslink.
