I just purchased a 94 eagle talon tsi seems to run really clean ive never owned a 1g before and was wondering whats the best way to keep this car running for a long time and if there is anything to watch out for on this car any pointers is greatly appreciated oh yeah it has 164000 miles thanks;)

Check your CV boots for tears, if they are they will build up dirt and wear down your half shaft which will eventually cause them to fail... probably resulting in you either dying or being very seriously injured because that shit likes to happen when you are taking a 35 mph turn at 60.

<--- here is an example. Mine were torn and the half shaft was VERY close to failing.

Clean your intake filter if it is needed, clean your EGR if it is not blocked, your throttle body should defiantly be looked at because your car at the very least had one at some point.

CHECK YOUR ECU! For two things, leaking caps and to see if you got a eprom. If you have a eprom you will have a chip or expansion slot at the bottom right of your ECU if you don't you didn't get lucky :(

I'd honestly go to autozone and replace EVERY vacuum line since they are like 12 cents a foot or something like that. Make sure you do them one by one though so you don't forget where things go. I'd also consider having someone help you do a EGR/vacuum hose delete so you don't have a billion hoses that do very little. I think the only one I found to be kind of useful is intended for -30 degrees Fahrenheit so your car warms up faster... or at least that is what I have read.

I can't seem to think of any more that everyone else hasn't said yet. If you are having a bad idle check your vacuum lines, EGR, ISC, ECU (again for leaking caps), and the screw on your throttle body.

But as always check everywhere for rust. I hope this helps.

First thing first, you need to let us know how good/ comfortable you are with doing your own work. If your not mechanically inclined I wouldtkae it to mechanic for a general look over or get in contact with someone from here in your area who can give you a hand. If you want to keep it reliable, do not mod it and use mitsue parts.
