Just Bought a 92 Talon TSI AWD Turbo 2.0L

Hi All I Have A Question I Just Bought A 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD Turbo Yesterday And When It Sat In Park Or Drive At A Red Light The Rpm's Bounced And Made The Car Jerk And Motor Jump The Car Sat For 4 yrs In a Garage But Today I Started It And It Doesnt Do None Of That It Just Idles High At 2000 RPM's Can Anyone Tell Me What It Can Be IAC? and the jerking stopped while in park so could that of also been a hose was clogged up? but the idling is still high tho. thanks for any answers and suggestions. Apperciate it Alot.

hi all i just posted a new thread somewhere about a car problem sorry for the mistake but here i go again,

i just bought a 92 Talon TSI AWD Turbo yesterday and when it was in park or sitting at a light the rpms kept bouncing around 1500 rpm's and stuff but on take off it ran like a charm and i took it to autozone and this guy knew all about talons ### he had one so he came out and checked it he said it was either my IAC , Throttle Sensor or a Vaccum Leak, So Today I Go Outside and start it no jerking or nothing to the car but the rpm still idles about 1500 to 2000 Rpm's? could the jerking be a hose was clogged and just now went through to somewhere else? or something i might buy a idle control sensor to see if that fixes the idle problem now im just worried about the jerking yesterday and no jerking today? any suggestions and opinions would be very helpful , Thanks

sounds like your idle control sensor, Its really easy to replace! you can even get one from a 1g NT.

ok thanks alot man i think ima just buy 1 from autozone tuesday for 107 with 3 yr warranty, i was gonna take it to xtreme performance and have a diagnosis test done to see if there is any vacuum leaks ### it sat for so long, think i should or try idle control sensor 1st? it cost 75 to run the test for a hour.

Without the Rosetta Stone to decipher what you were trying to write, my guess would be the ISC motor.

That could be caused by alot of things, and the IAC would be the last on my list of suspects.

1. Do a boost leak check, you will find any vacuum leaks if you have any
2. Check to see if the BISS screw is still there (I had my completely unthread and take off on me before).
3. Consider eliminating the FIAV... Very common for them to go bad and they can cause this condition (mine did)

sorry i meant to put because and i put with c and z short term sorry bout that oh and i forgot yesterday when it was doing the jumping rpm thing the boost was jumping a little too and when it sat in park the boost was over the 0 and the guy at autozone said it could be a boost leak too but today the boost sits all the way down and the rpms stay at 1500 almost 2000 rpm's

the biss screw is still in there everything looks in place except what was goin on yesterday and now its stopped and just idles high now

Welcome to DSMTuners...

First, start with some maintenance.

Timing belt and pulleys
Water Pump
Accessory Belts
Boost Leak Test (search for how to do it)
Change the oil
Flush the coolant
Check/change the transmission fluid
Check the transfer case fluid level
Check the rear differential fluid level

And, if the engine has been modified in any way, post a picture up, and we'll help you fix anything that's been "ghetto rigged", for lack of a better term.

Oh, and there's no reason to make the all font bold. It really doesn't help with readability.
