Well i'm going to be getting my car back one of these days and I might need a new motor or at least a rebuild. And i was wondering what is the best set up for the most low end power? Like what could i do to make the motor have alot of power before i even have boost? I will be using e85 too. We just got it and high octane is alot around here. 104 to 110 octane for 2.50 a gallon is way better than 3.60 for 91.

There are many cominations of parts people use for better off-boost power, but parts that maximize low RPM power often take away from high RPM efficiency. I used factory cams, properly hooked up Cyclone manifold, E16g turbo, and 9:1 compression for the best of both worlds (low/high RPM power).

Another thing to think about, E85 is ~33% less combustible than gasoline and in my experience that killed low end power a bit, but more than made up for it once boost hit.

Agreed.. My car feels like a 1.6liter off boost on e-85.

The short bullet list:

Higher compression ratio = more off boost power, lower boost before knock.
Longer stroke = More off boost torque, lower RPM limit.
Stock or 264 cams = more low/mid range power, lower high RPM power.
Larger bore = more off boost power, no high RPM penalty in normal range.
Port matching and minor bowl work = better power low end and high.
Aggressive porting with higher port volume = lower off boost torque, higher max power.
Light weight reciprocating components = all to the good, even wallet is lighter.
High stall torque converter = less time spent off boost.
Lower restriction exhaust = all to the good.
Lower volume intercooler = better off boost throttle response, lower max power.
Good multi-angle valve job = all to the good.

For the long list see my profile for a DSM with all compromises made in favor of low/mid range power.

WOW Looks like you put alot of money in that engine. So i need a strocker it looks like. My v8 buddys will love that idea. Whats a good turbo for low end? I have a big16g.

Another little question. If I get a dsmlink can I run like 1600cc injectors and have it run ok?

Although you can run 1600's on DSMlink, driveability with them seems to be hit or miss with most people. Check out FIC 1150's instead - they should be able to handle anything you throw at them and you will still retain driveability.

No, we are not going to take you by the hand, and step-by-step, part-by-part, explain to you how to build a monster motor- which you won't be doing anyway.

Start with the Tuning Guide on this site, and read much, much more before asking more questions that have been already answered many, many times.
