Hey guys, I know many of us have the terrible lifter ticks, specially at cold start up....Well, I noticed something when I tried using the Locus 'honey'....I added just a tad too much...about a centimeter or two above the full line of the dip stick....and that seemed to do the trick, with or without the Honey....Could it be, the car was not spec'ed right from the dipstick and all we need is just a bit of more oil to get rid of the lifter tick...I have heard we have small lifter spacing, or something...bla bla...

All I know, is that a centimeter or two more on the dip stick, eliminates the ticks, it will just be a 2 second tick rather then a 12-30sec. to a minute tick....

Know what I mean, or am I totally losing it....

Adding a can of "Restore" (from Walmart) to the oil is a well known (and Defiant approved) cheap fix to dsm lifter tick. One can each oil change or when needed. I use it and will testify it works.
