As far as the No Heat issue, this could be a few things. Try replacing your thermostat first. Are you overheating at all, or losing any coolant that you know of? Have you checked your coolant level? You might just be low, or there may be air in the system that needs to be worked out.

Not sure what you mean about the tach being "slow"...When you rev, the tach moves slower than usual? Or what?

I assume you've checked obvious things like boost leaks and compression.......

Also...If you're leaking oil from a bolt, it's just common sense to tighten or replace that bolt. WTF

Good luck ;)

I agree with Claire 100%. However the bolt on top of the turbo could also need new crush washers if the bolt is loose. They are not reusable. Just another possibility. :thumb:

well im go head and replace the thermastate see how that helps and now she seems to be to to cold according to the temp gauge like always under normal temp! and ive been told crush washers but where can i get them from dose slowboy sell them ?:talon:

180° Thermostat is what should be in your car.
Flush out the heater core.
Drain the radiator and refill it with good coolant.

Not going to recommend new spark plugs this time, Damien?? ;)

j/k. He's right -- drain and refill the radiator/hc. The heater core can get clogged keeping the warm air out of the cabin. I hadn't thought of that :)

If you found a leak in your radiator, my guess would be that this is the source of your problem. But it can't hurt to be thorough and check everything. The heater core is kind of a b##ch to access, though (behind the dash). What kind of manual do you have for reference? The heater core isn't really something I can easily explain how to access/test, unfortunately, so you will need to refer to the service manual, unless someone else can walk you through it.

the good old haynes manual LOL!:thumb:

Nothing wrong with good old Haynes, haha. That book actually got me through replacing my entire cooling system in my old 91 GST, with a little common sense added in every once in a while...
You should be ok. Just start w/ the easiest parts and go from there :thumb:

Hey what can be the problem for my temp gauge not working to well ?:talon:

What's it doing, exactly?
The gauge is run by the temp gauge sending unit which is located on the bottom of the thermostat housing, next to the coolant temp sensor. If you're looking at the front of the vehicle, it's the bottom right one, right next to the engine block. There is one wire going to it (yellow w/ blue/green stripe on my 90). The connector can start to break off due to age, or the unit could be bad. The only other possibility is that the gauge needle itself is stuck/broken. Easier to test the sensor before tearing into the dash to get to the gauge needle, though. Good ol' Haynes has the procedure to test the sensor. Check the wires though. They get brittle and like to break off - there's a lot of heat down there.

if your radiator was leaking you were probably low on water and it was not enough to flow though the heater core my n/t done the same thing

well all my parts came in today! dose anyone know where i can get stock intercooler pipe? ill be replacing the radiator thermostate and hoses this weekend along with a knock sensor and also where can i get some crush washers no where around here has them :talon:

and the temp gauge is reeading the car is cool its not stuck but it dosent ever get in the middle kinda worries me !

Sure, here ya go: http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1924&

Oh, and about the temp gauge...My 91 GST did the same thing (never quite warming up enough). I changed the thermostat w/ a 160* one, and that seemed to solve the problem. It's not really a "problem" per se....Different people have different preferences on what thermostats to use. Seems like yours is just opening too soon. If you want to run a little hotter, replace it with a lower-degree one. but better too cool than too hot, imho.

ok well last night was a late night for me replaced knock sensor im take a pic u guys gunna laugh and i also replace the radiator, hoses, and thermostat also found out why temp gauge was messed up will also take a pic of the old thermostat pretty funny. I Order all my intercooler hoses hoping by doing that i will eliminate the boost leak problem thanks guys ill keep u in formed ohh but wait i still have no heat! :talon:
